Woke up to Sprinkles

Lewiston Lake in the Trinty Alps

It\’s not a downpour – probably not even any measurable amount of rain but I\’ll take it. I hope it is raining harder in the mountains where we need it. The temps are down to 77 and it\’s cleaned up the air and smells delightful.

The only issue – the husband had to run out and purchase a large enough tarp to put over the now roofless tent trailer with cushions and flooring and wood cabinets exposed. Thankfully like I said the rain is not heavy rain – just lite sprinkles.

Well well well, yesterdays rant seem to ruffle the feathers of some gal in Florida named Eillen who told me I had no right to post what I said on my blog (last I recalled, this is a FREE country and I do have a right) She told me it was full of misinformation. That covid is real and not a soap opera. Hmmm, I don\’t recall me saying it wasn\’t real. I personally know a couple of people who died from it. I got my job – I do everything the authorities told me to do, but unlike her, I am not a dumb ass.  I do question authority. I think she got her panties in a bunch when I said Biden was a Joke. She really doesn\’t want to know what I think of \”Little man who wears 2 masks.\”

See isn\’t that just the way it is nowadays – one side absolutely won\’t let you have your own opinions – they want to silent you. Well, this is my blog, Eileen, not yours, and I have every RIGHT to say what I want to say and your rude comment was deleted. A gal can\’t get in a good rant these days without OFFENDING someone.

The doctor said it sounds like I have a torn rotator cuff which is what I feared. Well, I don\’t FEAR it but I would have rather it be something less. So I am waiting to hear from the surgeon he recommended. Maybe my doctor is wrong – but it does need to be looked at in more detail. Yesterday I was in pain all day. Today I woke up, no pain. I feel a little discomfort but not like yesterday probably due to rest it yesterday.

I think it was 2014/2015 or so, I took 3 falls. I tripped over the pet gate when Laydee was a puppy. Fell hard. A couple weeks later, I tripped over something in my garden and hurt my knee and my hip, and then 2 weeks after that I was at the dog park, and a sweet great Dane puppy, along with other dogs were running around and the puppy who was as big as me, ran into me. I went down hard and fast. They say, things come in threes. I did not seek any medical attention because I didn\’t have Medicare yet and my basic coverage wasn\’t that good. That\’s also when I found out about my cataracts and just decided to get my body overhauled after I got on Medicare – which I have but last year with Covid I just skipped that year. It seems like I am falling apart but honestly, I am good. Just need some tweaking. Oh and I go in to see the Ophthalmologist surgeon on the 16th.

This afternoon we\’re going in for orientation to volunteer once again at the Cal Veterans Home. It will be fun to get back with some of them again – although I do feel sick about Pops not being there. But I need to get back on that horse and push through.

I hate to hear of those falls. I fell bang on my kitchen floor about two weeks ago. I am still recuperating. But it was so painful and I am still hurting some. I'll have to read your Trump blog post. People are nuts they can't take a different opinion. It is called an opinion for a reason. There is always more than one. lol

I'm sorry someone got so upset. Everyone has their own opinions on this, and even in healthcare the nurses I work with have varied thoughts. It doesn't help that the powers that be change opionions all the time. However, I don't like that they are pushing everyone to do what some people want. And, I saw again – I agree with everything you said!

Yeah Falls are not good at our age. I hope you start to feeling better after your recent fall.

I've seen many different doctors this year – my Pulmonary Specialist and I asked him what he thought – I asked my primary and I saw my knee surgeon what he thought – and my daughter-in-law is a nurse that worked the covid wing. Not to mention both my sons, work in care facilities and worked all through the covid shutdown last year. I tend to put more faith in the actually people on the battlefield. I just don't like the idea of forced vaccinations. I'm not close minded. I got my vax – and have not regretted it but it does disappoint me that we're going to have to wear masks again. It's maddening.

My walkways out front were wet one morning, and I thought to myself, \”I think it rained!\” It did rain, but it was only drizzles. But I'll take it. I'm so sorry you have a torn rotator cuff. That must be painful for you. I hope you get all the answers you need with the doctors, Debby.~Sheri

ps…..Yes, the virus is very real, and I feel terrible for those who have gotten it. I know a few people who have suffered with it also. There are many different viewpoints in the news and you will hear so many different things. It's good to listen, but it's smart to listen to what our heart tell us too. Hang in there, Debby. Sorry you were having such a bad day.
