We’re on the mend

Yesterday the husband went into Urgent Care at the VA and they gave him a shot of something in his bum. Then they gave him 2 prescriptions to take and as of today, some blisters are starting to dry up in some areas and so it appears that shot is working.

Navy dropped by to pick up the Rodeo tickets and stayed for dinner since his nurse-wife didn\’t get off work until later. We had a very nice visit.

The \”Car\” Saga Continues

I think I\’ve won. Husband has agreed that perhaps an EV is not for us at this time in our life. Due to where we live, and we do not pile on the miles like we used to. The problem still is, economy. We want to be able to travel up and down our state and Nevada and Oregon and do it economically. It\’s not like we will be planning to drive across the country. I remember my dad telling me when I was a child, that one day, it would be too expensive to drive coast to coast like we did almost every year. That is so sad. That\’s the only way you get to see the country. I love car trips to different areas.

So we are perhaps looking at hybrids. I just need to know which type. I noticed some are hybrids and others are plug-in hybrids. WTH? We\’re looking for a previously owned 2-year-old. We\’ve bought 2 vehicles through Enterprise Car Sales. Well, I did just before we married and then we went through them again for our Sedona Van. (I like vans) One had 12,000 miles and my little car had 29,000.

We\’re at that stage, where we see a car in a parking lot and we stand there checking it out. Or a car in the next lane catches our eyes.

Yeah, it used to be way more fun to go out and purchase a newer vehicle. Not so much anymore.

I'm glad your husband is better. Purchasing a car to me is akin to going to the dentist. I just dread it. I plan to upgrade my vehicle next year. As long as I can afford it, I plan to drive a relatively new car. I've had my clunkers and junkers over the years and it is nice to have a dependable car waiting for me outside.
