New simple look

I was having problems with the blog theme I was using. So I decided to go back to old school. Simple, nothing fancy. A lot like me.
So I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We are cat-sitting for our grand-cat, Ed. Navy and Sara went to the coast for a few days. He hides when we come to feed him; twice a day! She has his routine, detailed in a note on the kitchen counter and I didn\’t realize, that they use only filtered water for him. Made me feel kinda bad – Laydee and Susie get water from the kitchen faucet.
I inherited so much stuff from my niece and mostly my sister. Photos, things from our parents that I divided up and gave to her 13 years ago – I am now seeing again. The first day back from our haul, I went through all the boxes. I threw out a lot. Yearbooks from both my sister and Nina. Heck, I don\’t even have my old yearbooks. I hated high school! I tossed many things that really meant nothing to me. It\’s hard but it has to be done. So I finished the first PURGE. Do I really need to keep all the school pictures and baby pictures that I already have? Throwing away letters, that my sister kept, that really is none of my business.
Here\’s Ed on the bed, that was my sister\’s childhood bed. I no longer have a guest room so I gave it to Navy and Sara for their guest room.
I have another purge to do soon. I will keep a box of keepsakes for Nina\’s kids – so far it is looking as if I won\’t be seeing them again. From what my brother-in-law told me, they are still in Foster Care. Friends and family (except for me) are gumming up the works and not getting along. Nina\’s dad and his side are telling tales on Baby Daddy and Nina\’s friends are on Baby Daddy\’s side. The CPS is worthless. They won\’t return my calls now. So, I\’ll stay out of it. I\’m a nobody.

From My House – For the homemaking side of me

Not surprised about CPS. No one has a backbone and no one has power to overrule some selfish people. My sister who had a stroke has been a victim to may money grubbing people. I'm so ashamed of those people and how low they are. It's like they have no dignity or character. I have called GA protective services. Nothing has really happened. I would get guardianship of my sister but I can not handle the situation. All people see is someone else they can get money out of including GA protective services.Pictures, I have a hard time throwing them away. I came across a good picture of my former sister in law. I don't want it. I am creating a box I will send to her son, maybe. You have to be careful digging up bones. You might be able to sell the yearbooks on ebay.

Too late. I already tossed them. I wasn't aware their was a market for old yearbooks. I'm sorry about your sister and the selfish people who are trying to profit off her.

Hi Debby, I just left a comment on a post about a cabinet you inherited from your sister and didn’t know this was the main blog site, so this comment may be a repeat. Thanks for your visit and comment on my blog of our experience with our second Moderna shot and please feel free to visit anytime and I will do the same. Sorry to read about your sister’s passing. I also tossed out all my okd high school yearbooks and many old photos.

I like your new blog look, Debby. It's clean and simple. Do you not drink coffee anymore and just have herb tea? It's great that you are going through things and clearing things out. I did the same with this last move to the mountains. I still have my yearbooks and photo albums though. That was a good time for me, so I have fond memories. : )~Sheri
