I was having problems with the blog theme I was using. So I decided to go back to old school. Simple, nothing fancy. A lot like me.
So I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We are cat-sitting for our grand-cat, Ed. Navy and Sara went to the coast for a few days. He hides when we come to feed him; twice a day! She has his routine, detailed in a note on the kitchen counter and I didn\’t realize, that they use only filtered water for him. Made me feel kinda bad – Laydee and Susie get water from the kitchen faucet.
I inherited so much stuff from my niece and mostly my sister. Photos, things from our parents that I divided up and gave to her 13 years ago – I am now seeing again. The first day back from our haul, I went through all the boxes. I threw out a lot. Yearbooks from both my sister and Nina. Heck, I don\’t even have my old yearbooks. I hated high school! I tossed many things that really meant nothing to me. It\’s hard but it has to be done. So I finished the first PURGE. Do I really need to keep all the school pictures and baby pictures that I already have? Throwing away letters, that my sister kept, that really is none of my business.
Here\’s Ed on the bed, that was my sister\’s childhood bed. I no longer have a guest room so I gave it to Navy and Sara for their guest room.
I have another purge to do soon. I will keep a box of keepsakes for Nina\’s kids – so far it is looking as if I won\’t be seeing them again. From what my brother-in-law told me, they are still in Foster Care. Friends and family (except for me) are gumming up the works and not getting along. Nina\’s dad and his side are telling tales on Baby Daddy and Nina\’s friends are on Baby Daddy\’s side. The CPS is worthless. They won\’t return my calls now. So, I\’ll stay out of it. I\’m a nobody.
