Ready and Waiting

So far nothing. Not even rain. It is very cold out and in all fairness, I just think they were off on their timing. I can look at the radar and see something is coming and it is going to be big. Regardless if there is any snow for us, in the Northern Sacramento Valley, we will have significant rainfall. That is a concern – due to our fires. Burn scars have no more rooted vegetation that holds the soil into place – so there will be mudslides.
They are saying 12-18 inches of snow for the valley floor. Just up the road 20 minutes, we\’re getting into the foothills and they are talking in \”feet\” not inches.
We\’re good to go – the husband pre-ran is generator – He also cleaned out the gutters.
I went to the store this morning for milk, dog food, and cat food and I did buy some Tollhouse chocolate chip cookies in the tub as a treat. I usually make them from scratch but I want easy. I bought the husband cinnamon rolls in a tube – and apple cider to keep on the stove and drink hot. I think that covers it all. We have batteries for the radio –
Crazy though we have a vet appointment tomorrow morning at 9:30 for Laydee and at 2:30 pm for my long-awaited breathing test with the Pulmonary Specialist. Wouldn\’t that just be a pisser, if I couldn\’t get to the appointment or they cancel? After waiting 3-4 months. OH well, no biggie. I feel fine. I\’m not freaked out anymore.
Okay, WINTER, we\’re ready – let it SNOW!

Wow – that sounds like quite the storm! We had a bunch of snow here last night and schools were cancelled. Wouldn't you know I had to go to my rheumatologist today.? It's a 30 minute drive on a good day – today was nasty, lots of people in the ditches and medians but I made it.Have fun in your snowstorm and I hope you make it to the pulmonologist!
