Deactivated Facebook once and for all.

My husband and I finally did something we have wanted to do but just never got around to it. We deactivated our Facebook accounts on Friday. I felt such a feeling of empowerment. I let my family know (they were the only reasons I was staying) and some friends and downloaded all my photos and videos I had uploaded throughout the years. It took 3 hours. I had been on there since August 2008. It used to be fun in the early days – I really enjoyed it and it seemed people were nice. Now it\’s just Crazy Town.
I\’ve been having terrible stomach aches – it was just time. My Doctor told me a few years ago, I needed to \”unplug\” and I always gave excuses.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
Navy and Sara bought a house – they should be moved in, by the end of this month/early Feb. They are only 6 miles from us. We babysat my grand-cat, Ed, this past weekend. He\’s an orange tabby that has \”issues\”. He never comes out for us – always hides. So we filled up his bowls and he ate when we left. Silly cat. I never actually saw him.
Foodie and his friend, and his 6 yr old son, went snow backpacking and hiking. They spent one night in the high country and it snowed. They were fine and thoroughly prepared. The little boy, however, would have much rather been home, where it is warm.
I need to get into the new swing of things – but I still have to go down to get my sister\’s stuff from my brother-in-law. I want to get it all over with asap. I\’m sick of dealing with all of this.

From My House – For the homemaking side of me

my husband and I were just talking about quitting FB too. I have so many people that I only stay in touch with that way, but then there is all the negative stuff too. Good for you!

Still on, great for following family, but I have unfollowed many friends (not unfriended)…including a few family members. But I may soon follow your lead.

I'm also thinking about leaving FB. I spend little time there because, in general, it disgusts me. I haven't left so far because it allows me to see photos of the young ones in the family (they only communicate on FB), and because I know some people read my blog because of the links I post.Love,Janie
