Merry Christmas Eve

Last year on Dec 24, 2019
Tonight is when we as a family decided to all get-together. Sara and Foodie work tomorrow so it was the only day we all could meet up – just for dinner because Char and Navy had to work today. Everyone should be here by 5pm so I have a couple of hours – I\’m taking a break.
We bought Susie the cat, a green cactus scratching post – really cute and Laydee got a swim/safety vest for when she is out in the Sacramento River. Of course, we bought something for Ed, my grand-kitty. The human kids got gift certificates. The husband and I – we will buy something for ourselves later. Just not in the mood.
The husband made some rustic country bread and I\’m going to roast a rump roast in my cast iron dutch oven – like my Grandma and my Mom,  used to make.
Tomorrow we\’ll be by ourselves – probably eating hot roast beef sandwiches and taking a nap. Sounds good to me.
I hope you all happy a Merry Christmas, no matter what day you observe.

Merry Christmas! We usually do Christmas on Christmas Eve, but things are different for us too. We went to the Candlelight service at church and are now watching A Christmas Carol. Glad you have that photo from last year.
