Man, I really wish I could get off the topic of Covid, but right now, it\’s what is going on in my family. I just talked with Navy – he seems to have a very mild case of it. A little cough and he\’s tired. What surprised me, is he said his supervisor wants him back at work tomorrow or the latest Thursday. What??? All because they are shorthanded. He\’s not going to obviously, but we\’ve all had employers in our past who would call and pressure us to come back to work, thru spreading whatever virus we had. He won\’t go back unless he tests negative. That really got me mad. He also told me, Public Health has not contacted him yet, which makes me wonder if CalVet who did the test, even reported it to Public Health.
It seems the right hand doesn\’t know what the left hand is doing.
Shhhhh, just between you and me – I faxed an anonymous complaint to the public health without using my son\’s name or anyone else. Just enough to put the bug in their ear to EDUCATE THESE MORANS! MY husband still has friends who work there. So we have eyes and ears…
1. Pressuring them to return to work after testing positive for Covid19. (if their symptoms are mild)
2. After tossing the contaminated gowns in a biohazard bag, supervisors ordering employees to stand on the bags, stomping them down in the bins to make room; bags are being torn open while employees are standing on the, exposing them.
3. Nursing staff failing to gown up before entering a resident\’s room.
My other son, Foodie has been saying all along – there is no consistency. He works at a private facility. Navy works for a Government facility. Foodie gets tested 2-3 times a week whereas Navy only gets tested once a week. Why not the same standards?
Then we have our wonderful Governor who says one thing but does another. I read in the San Francisco Chronicle, he was BUSTED for attending a birthday party that goes against his very own State guidelines. I\’ll give him this – at least he apologized. (for getting caught) That is why people are getting pissed. the news leaked out almost immediately. I bet that is one decision he wishes he could take back. OUCH!
Bottom line: You just can\’t fix STUPID. You can\’t legislate people to do the right thing. There are still too many inconsistencies going on, like breweries closed yet wineries are open. (Newsome owns a winery) Do you get it yet?
