The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing.

Man, I really wish I could get off the topic of Covid, but right now, it\’s what is going on in my family. I just talked with Navy – he seems to have a very mild case of it. A little cough and he\’s tired. What surprised me, is he said his supervisor wants him back at work tomorrow or the latest Thursday. What??? All because they are shorthanded. He\’s not going to obviously, but we\’ve all had employers in our past who would call and pressure us to come back to work, thru spreading whatever virus we had. He won\’t go back unless he tests negative. That really got me mad. He also told me, Public Health has not contacted him yet, which makes me wonder if CalVet who did the test, even reported it to Public Health.
It seems the right hand doesn\’t know what the left hand is doing.
Shhhhh, just between you and me – I faxed an anonymous complaint to the public health without using my son\’s name or anyone else. Just enough to put the bug in their ear to EDUCATE THESE MORANS! MY husband still has friends who work there. So we have eyes and ears…
1. Pressuring them to return to work after testing positive for Covid19. (if their symptoms are mild)
2. After tossing the contaminated gowns in a biohazard bag, supervisors ordering employees to stand on the bags, stomping them down in the bins to make room; bags are being torn open while employees are standing on the, exposing them.
3. Nursing staff failing to gown up before entering a resident\’s room.
My other son, Foodie has been saying all along – there is no consistency. He works at a private facility. Navy works for a Government facility. Foodie gets tested 2-3 times a week whereas Navy only gets tested once a week. Why not the same standards?
Then we have our wonderful Governor who says one thing but does another. I read in the San Francisco Chronicle, he was BUSTED for attending a birthday party that goes against his very own State guidelines. I\’ll give him this – at least he apologized. (for getting caught) That is why people are getting pissed. the news leaked out almost immediately. I bet that is one decision he wishes he could take back. OUCH!
Bottom line: You just can\’t fix STUPID. You can\’t legislate people to do the right thing. There are still too many inconsistencies going on, like breweries closed yet wineries are open. (Newsome owns a winery) Do you get it yet?

That is great that Navy's case doesn't seem bad but it is a shame where he works aren't following guidelines for him returning to work. I would think they would want a negative test before he was allowed back in. You are right, so many inconsistencies. I think people are just getting tired of it all and going out doing what they think is best for themselves and perhaps that's why the numbers all over are going up again.betty

You are so right there needs to be consistancy and the powers that be making up the rules should follow them as well. I am really tired of seeing them get caught out and apologizing and expecting to get out of their botch up.God bless.

It will be a long dark winter as Dr. Fauci has said. So the talk will be about Covid. I know of several who have contracted the disease and a few who have died from Covid complications. I understand the vaccine will be given in facilities that care for the aged first. That will be good for your sons. Except the one who has Covid should have some immunity for a while.I'm just trying to keep the crowd at my house home as much as I can. My mother is wanting to grocery shop every week. I know she likes to get out of the house. I wish she could be satisfied with a car ride to nowhere. Mom is 90 and truly tries to be independent and a help.

Your son has the virus, oh Debby, I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope he feels better soon. That is crazy that they want him to go back to work so soon. And not safe for anyoneeither. What are they thinking? I'm glad you left an anonymous complaint – that wassmart. Take care, Debby and stay well.~Sheri
