Gerd, Chest X-ray and Arsonists.

I saw my doctor for my cough.  He prescribed Omeprazole (Prilosec, Zegerid) to treat my gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) I should see some improvement in about a month to 6 weeks. If not I go back in, and we\’ll go to the next step. I also had a chest x-ray. I waited in line for 45 just to turn in my script – I\’m now waiting for them to call so I can pick it up and start tomorrow morning.
My blood pressure was a bit high for me – 138/80. I usually have very low blood pressure so that was surprising to me. I did have 2 cups of coffee before which has never affected me before.  I\’m a very calm person – but I was a bit anxious to just get this over with.
I should my chest x-ray results tomorrow or Monday.
Today is a beautiful 80-degree day. Clear, no smoke. Still no rain in sight.
We decided we will pass out candy for Halloween. We have a picket fence we can sit by – and we\’ll place a bowl of candy. We\’ll be there to monitor the bowl and social distance. When the candy is gone, so will we. We\’ll turn off the lights, lock the gate, and call it a night. We don\’t get that many trick or treaters. Mostly they drive over from the more rural areas – my subdivision is the very last one before you get to the ranches and country areas. I just feel bad for the kids –
I\’m starting to miss Foodie – It\’s been so long. He calls me, but it\’s not the same. They are still losing people where he works, so that is the reason we haven\’t seen each other. Plus he knows about my cough and didn\’t think it was wise until I had it checked out.
I\’ve been talking about the Arsonists – yesterday our police department did a news interview saying that our town alone, has 118 registered criminal arsonists. How come we have never heard this before? We\’ve all suspected some of our fires have to be arson. I remember years ago before we moved up here, we were living in an apartment in Redwood City. There was an arsonist, setting fires to apartment buildings and it made it hard to sleep at night. The complex started locking the doors to the garage which before that, they had been sloppy about enforcing as well as the lobby doors. Still, many residents would keep a door propped opened when they went outside for a smoke and the arsonist was getting inside the buildings that way. Finally, we got fed up with the residents and decided to live in our 34-foot motorhome and pay off all remaining debt once and for all. That was fun, and another story for later.
Anyway, arsonists are BAD!

I hope your medication works. I'll be rooting for you. I don't think you should be concerned about your BP. That's not crazy high. I usually have very low blood pressure, too, but it's gone up since the virus started. I don't understand arsonists, but I don't understand a lot of things. After we lived in the Seattle area for a few years, an arsonist started setting churches on fire, including the one that we had attended. Turned out it was a volunteer firefighter who wanted to set the fires so he could put them out and feel as if he's a hero. I wonder if that guy is out of prison yet.

Wow, arsonists are a pain in the you know what. We will be handing out chips for Halloween. When I buy chocolate I seem to end up eating most of them.God bless.

Hope the medicine helps. We too are giving out candy; don't know how many we'll get with trick or treaters but if they want to come out, we'll be ready. We'll wear a mask and gloves and hand out the candy with tongs or a spoon. We're keeping the garage door open and will pass candy out that way so we can control the \”crowds\” that might come.betty

Wow, 118 registered arsonists, that's dreadful. And setting fire to buildings – how low can you get? Do they get sent to jail or are they free to set fire to something else?

I read that roughly 100 firefighters a year are convicted of arson. Crazy

scary and we're not a big metro area. Just have a lot of \”playground\” for these arsonists.

I told my husband he can pick out whatever candy he would like to give out. He has the sweet tooth. I don't care for candy that much anymore.

Our laws are so lax, that many get either low sentences or are set free.

Aha! GERD. My doc tried to chang my omeprazole meds a few years ago and I was in agony. Then it took another two weeks for it to start working. Hope you are feeling better.
