Good news, better news and not so good news

The BLM site we stayed overnight at, in 2015 on our way to Yosemite and the town of Bodie.
I\’m getting a very strong urge to go back this way before the snow starts in.

The Good News is, the Doctor has cleared my husband. He can wear regular shoes and slowly get back to normal although she told him to wear a sturdy boot when for a couple of weeks.

The Better News is Cal Pers broke down that lump payment showing what years my husband earned those credits and it looks good that we won\’t pay anything or at the least, very little. So he sent the information to our Congressman and hopefully that will be proof enough.

The Not So Good News is last evening the injection site from my Shingles shot started hurting and I could barely sleep last night due to my arm hurting. I applied an ice pack and that helped. At least it took almost 8 hours before it started to hurt. I accidentally bumped my arm lightly on the doorframe and felt it for the first time. Today I could hardly close the driver\’s side door on my van without it hurting. I will even confess that I looked for some leftover Norco from my knee surgery last year and popped one. I could STILL feel it although it wasn\’t as much. I won\’t take it again – but it at least it got me through today. Not looking forward to the one in December, but I will do it. Last night it felt like the pain went all the way to the bone and throbbed until I placed ice on it. I never get sick or anything – just the sore arm.

2015 – Driving toward the eastern entrance of Yosemite. I want to just GO.

So now that the husband\’s toe has improved – we need to get our yards cleaned up. It\’s actually supposed to rain tomorrow but nothing significant. The temperature has temporarily dropped into the \’80s and tomorrow should be in the low 70\’s. The upcoming week will be back into the \’80s and \’90s and it looks that way for a couple of weeks. It would be a very good time to spontaneously just head east before the snow starts in – probably mid-month. We\’ll see.

Sorry about the sore arm, but that was my experience too. My friend said I should have massaged the arm the day of the shot. Duh! Not much help a week later, lol.
