Life opens slowly

The cinema\’s are opening today.

TENET is a 2020 spy film/time travel flick.  The plot follows a secret agent who must manipulate the flow of time in order to prevent World War III. Delayed three times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tenet was released in the United Kingdom on August 26, 2020, and United States on September 3, 2020

UNHINGED – After a confrontation with an unstable man at an intersection, a woman becomes the target of his rage. a thriller starring Russell Crowe.

The Broken Hearts Gallery – A chick-flick – Dumped by her boyfriend, a New York art gallery assistant creates an exhibit for souvenirs from past relationships.

The Personal History of David Copperfield The life of David Copperfield from childhood to maturity, with his own adventures and the web of friends and enemies he meets along his way.

The rest of the films showing are children\’s films, some comeback classics from baseball, and 2 international films – with Chinese, English, and Korean subtitles.
The Eight Hundred – The film is based on true stories taking place during the Sino-Japanese war in Shanghai, China, in 1937, the battle and protection of the Si Hang Warehouse. There are around 400 Soldiers (so-called Eight Hundred Heroes in history), holding out against numerous waves of Japanese forces for 4 days and 4 nights in order to cover Chinese principal forces retreating west.
Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula  – Four years after South Korea’s total decimation in TRAIN TO BUSAN, the zombie thriller that captivated audiences worldwide, acclaimed director Yeon Sang-ho brings us PENINSULA, the next nail-biting chapter in his post-apocalyptic world. Jung-Seok, a soldier who previously escaped the diseased wasteland, relives the horror when assigned to a covert operation with two simple objectives: retrieve and survive. When his team unexpectedly stumbles upon survivors, their lives will depend on whether the best—or worst—of human nature prevails in the direst of circumstances.
Zombies and Chick Flicks are not my Thing. I think we\’ll go next week for Senior Day if the husband and I can agree on a film. I believe it will be  The Eight Hundred and or, Tenet. I\’m a sucker for spy movies with a little bit of time travel thrown in.
No winery visit until the weather cools down. 111 and getting hotter. I just lay low – I made a batch of enchiladas for dinner yesterday. I haven\’t cooked anything time consuming, for quite a while. They were worth it. I might bake a carrot cake sometime this weekend. And I got my hair cut yesterday and guess what? They made me wear a mask even while getting a shampoo.

Lol and our good friend Nancy said no one wears a mask while getting their hair washed. 114 degrees today here. I don't have much desire to see a movie, not because of the virus but rather spend time doing something else there days.Betty

I've seen The Personal History of David Copperfield. It was well done and very entertaining. I shan't see Tenet as it's had a lot of bad reviews here in the UK. Jenny and I haven't yet been back to our favourite cinema as we don't fancy anything they're showing.
