A change of Scenery

Yesterday morning we drove 30 miles to the west of us –  the Trinity Alps.
It was smokey everywhere so we took a chance.
This is the Trinity River just before the trinity dam.
The smoke here was not as bad – I could actually smell the fragrance of the trees.
It was quiet –
I want to do some fishing but the husband wants to wait till his foot heals.
So peaceful and when we go in the middle of the week.
So this morning I woke up with energy and feeling good.
So far no lightning here. It also shouldn\’t be too hot today – in the mid-\’90s.
Autumn in Northern California is in the air –

Its beautiful there.. That smoke must be horrible and horrible to breath in. I wish Autumn was in the air here but I still have a couple months of humid summer yet.. One of the thing I miss about living up north is the shorter summer season and the longer fall and winter seasons…

Such a lovely photo but so sad about all the fires. My heart breaks when I think about the devastation to land and wildlife and people and homes.๐Ÿ˜ž I think we NEED to get out of our comfort zones for a change. I know it boosts my spirits and keeps the doldrums at bay. ๐Ÿ’–
