Happy 4th! Our previous corgi was terrified of fireworks and would cower a lot so in later years of his life we always stayed home on the 4th and tried to comfort him as best as possible. Winslow barks at the fireworks and doesn't seem to be afraid of them. I let him bark for a few minutes before calling him back into the house because the fireworks are illegal here (the ones that shoot up into the sky) and if his barking is irritating the neighbors maybe (doubt it) they'll tell their friends and neighbors not to shoot them off. I did tell hubby we'll have to be on the lookout for stray dogs out and about for the next few days if any got out while the fireworks were going off.Have a nice safe day!betty

Happy 4th of July Debby. These are good tips. Nel has a dog, so I'll pass this on to her. Have a safe and fun day.~Sheri

Wish they had something for us adults who suffer. Four hours of nothing but noise. I do not understand. These are not displays of lights. It's just bombs going off. Someone about 300 feet from my house was setting them off. For four hours. What a waste of money. I feel sorry for animals, both pets and the wild ones I complain about. So much for a happy 4th.
