Happy New Year

Today is the first REAL start of a regular week. We\’re retired now so these partial weeks with holidays smack dab in the middle, are just annoying. Many places were not open or had regular hours.

Yeah so, we enter January – Husband has been off since the end of October. January we received our first pension check. Then Social security sent us a letter saying we were not going to get anything in January (Feb) due to his 2019 earnings. I think it was that LUMP SUM we received. We paid off some dentist bills and Home Depo. The rest in savings. It was a good amount – probably should have deferred it into a tax-free account but we didn\’t.
So this morning, the husband went down to Social Security and we\’ll find out more. If he doesn\’t get his social security for February – we\’ll be fine. It\’s a short month anyway.
I\’m getting used to him being home. He\’s good though. He knows I require a lot of \”alone time\” so he goes to the gym, or to the VFW or visits with his Dad.
UPDATE: he just called and said he had to go to the Veterans resource center and get verification to give to the Social security that he makes a certain amount with his military pension and military disability. That the lump sum was not his new income. Social security told him, it all looks good – we should get a notice by the 21st of this month reinstating him.
It\’s always something. I will be sitting on my hands, till we get confirmation. I don\’t easily trust these places.
