Yes, we all feel sorry for the family who lost their child. I can honestly identify to a certain degree since I too lost a child years ago. Heck, if they want to pray for a resurrection, then GO FOR IT.
What they all have done to our community is unforgivable. Downright embarrassing. I fear they will continue to hold our city in bondage! Our past Mayor was an elder from Bethel and many of our city council members are Bethel.
The good thing is it has opened up a dialogue – Many people are afraid to confront them. Fear of hurting their feelings Fear that they themselves could be wrong and this is the real Church, Fear that they will upset God if they JUDGE them, Fear they will lose family members if they come out and say something. Granted you\’ll always have the atheists who don\’t believe in anything except for their religion of Atheism. God bless them in a way. At least they will call a spade a spade and in this case, Bethel and their teachings are totally out there, even for Atheists!
We have a friend, who is really into all the Bethel teachings – she gets BethelTV and is a Sid Roth fan. I\’ve never watched him – frankly never heard of him until she mentioned him. This gal is in her mid 60\’s – divorced for close to 20 years due to her religious fanaticism. Since I have known her, she has moved from Arizona to Colorado, to Washington State and is currently in North Carolina. She is now hoping to move to New Mexico all because she had a \”word\” that she was going to be financially blessed and that God will lead her. Every time she moves, she insists that God is leading her. She is financially broke – living on her social security and menial part-time jobs that are getting physically hard for her to do. We feel bad for her – she is not happy. Constantly complaining on her facebook page – She believes in all those teachings – the glory cloud, the angel dust (which was store-bought glitter) the angel feathers (which were tested to be dove feathers) the grave sucking, etc.
God, I wish they would just GO AWAY!
